The International Federation of Psychoanalysis — IFP, registered on December 15, 2015 in Strasbourg (France) as Federation Internationale de Psychanalyse, held its first introductory conference in the Via Regia Castle on June 9, 2019. (Radomyshl, Ukraine).

In her welcome address, IFP President Svetlana Uvarova stated that the federation is expected to become the intellectual and scientific space that can unite psychoanalysts who are members of various professional organisations and reside on different continents.

The presentation of the International Federation of Psychoanalysis was given, with emphasis on its history and founding principles.

In the Hetman’s Hall of the castle, beneath the portraits of the Hetmans of Ukraine, the participants of the Inception Conference signed the IPP declaration, thereby declaring their support for the activities of the International Federation of Psychoanalysis, which is based on the psychoanalytic principles and ideas developed by Sigmund Freud and his followers, taking into account the particularities of the development of psychoanalysis at the time.

There was a formal presentation of certificates to the participants. The conference resulted in the election of an initiative group whose members were charged with organising the IFP General Assembly.
